How to Measure the Success of a Coaching Program

Success is not measured by how well an executive does with the coach’s help, but rather by how well he or she performs after the coach has left.

It is not measured by how the executive feels about his progress, but rather by the changes stakeholders notice. It is not measured by the executive’s feelings about or his relationship with his coach, but rather by results.

Executives must be willing to be open and vulnerable to change and honest feedback. For those committed to change, executive coaching can be an exhilarating, freeing journey. It is an experiential process, unlike a class on management theory. Strong bonds are formed between clients and coaches as trust and confidence are built.

These are the best measurements of whether or not your executive coaching program was successful or not.
